Thank you for taking part in our 2nd annual community wide pajama day on December 17th 2015. While the community wore their PJ’s for PJ, Pietro Joseph was at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) receiving his 24th infusion of Eteplirsen. After 24 weeks of this 96 week trial, we are already seeing differences in Pietro’s stamina and confidence from the medicine.  Pietro is able to do things he was never able to do before with this trial. We urge the FDA to take this into consideration when Eteplirsen tries to gain FDA approval in February. Pietro wishes he could have visited the  participating schools in the community-wide dress down event and enjoyed in the fun.  Thank you to Senator Marty Golden andJohn Quaglione for holding a press conference at Stepping Stones – The Next Step – located at 9321 Ridge Boulevard, Brooklyn, New York 11209 on December 2.

Holy Angels Catholic AcademyPietrosfight.org was created to raise awareness and funds for potential treatments with hopes of a cure for DMD. Contributions from this year’s event directly funded research which enabled clinical trials to take place. So great to see so many new schools and offices participating this year, THANK YOU!
